I've been enjoying the art of photography since I was a kid. My father...a talented photographer gave me a camera for my 10th birthday. An instamtic 110 film camera. Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. I had plenty of beauty to shoot. I was hooked. Photography has been my passion since that time. I've been shooting professionally for more than 20 years now. As a freelance artist, I love love love to create. I consider myself a mixture of old school and new school. I'm just as skilled with film as I am digitial, but the two have obvious differences that I both enjoy. Sometimes I prefer to use old school techniques to capture a moment or to create an effect. However with digitial there are times when I can expand that creativity even further. Just depends on what I feel like doing that day. What I've learned most about the art is that you have to break the basic rules of photography 101. It's always great to take some classes..now get out there and forget what you were taught. That's when you will really enjoy the art of photography. There are basic principals, but it's how you [as an individual]see's the world that will determine your cababilities in your craft.
