Ray Liotta Eloped to Las Vegas

When I first met my groom Ben, I was blown away with how much he looks like Ray Liotta. He didn't just look like him, but he sounded like him too. Well except that Ben is English and lives in Vancouver. B.C. He has the perverbial Canadian acccent. I would quickly learn that I am not alone, he gets this all the time. He and his gorgeous wife Paula were terrific to shoot. Paula's beauty and personality shine throughout. She not only smiles with her mouth but her eyes too. If not for time constraints, I would have loved to have continued working with them. Posted by Picasa

Mishell and Charles

The first time I got to work with Charles and Mishell was in San Diego for their Engagements. The upside to having engagements done prior to your wedding day is having the opportunity to get aquainted and to get a feel for how we all work together. Mishell was as bubbly as can be and Charles had a hard time keeping a straight face. Their bridal party was just as fun.

Lily & Danniel

When I think of the name Lily I think of flowers, spring, nature etc...It was only fitting that Lily and Danniel wanted to go out into the desert for their wedding photos. Calico Basin was the ideal location. They blended into the surroundings perfectly. I'm dissapointed that we didn't have more time to work together because they were quite comfortable infront of a camera.

Ronita and Marqui

It was a beautiful sunny Vegas day when I drove down to the strip. 2 hours later when I came out it was blustery and raining. I was shocked. Rain wasn't in the forecast..but then again, it never rains in Vegas and thus I don't check the weather. I know it's going to be hot and that's it. Like all wedding days it always seems to clear up just when you need it to. I was more pleased with the outcome. Overcast skies and a slight cool down gave way to some great strip photo pics of my couple.

Camille and Reagan

The theme for this kick-ass E session was "Neon"

This was Camilles first visit to Vegas and she wanted me to capture the neon essence of Las Vegas.

What better place for old school neon but Fremont Street.

Alec and Jennifer

What an outstanding couple! It was warm, it was humid..but they toughed it out and were a delight to work with. Here's a few highlights from a very fun and inspiring wedding. No need for any digital added sun glare. There was plenty of it. It was a blazing yesterday.

The Element of Surprise

The one fundamental aspect about photography is the element of surprise. Depending on what you are shoooting, you can snap one frame or you can snap hundreds. We all have a vision of what we want to capture, but what we envision does not always translate onto the image. You might shoot a hundred frames to get that one phenominal image you have been hoping for. Or you may simply take one shot, and the element of surprise blows you away. I took this photo of Erik while he was resting from a long hike in Valley of Fire. I didn't think much about the candid shot until I got home and uploaded. I've been capturing my childrens personalities since they arrived into this world full of spunk and smiles. I've taken hundreds of photos, but this one of Erik at the age of 6 just may be to date..my favorite. The element of surprisee.

Mary Jane Falls-Mt. Charleston

I can't count the number of people who live in Vegas (and have for years) that don't know there is a world outside of the city limits. Many have never been to Mt. Charleston, Redrock, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire and other scenic places of interest and recreation.
To me, it's unfortunate..look what you are missing. Look what your children are missing.
